When my son was born in 2012, I experienced first-hand how overwhelming life with a new baby can be. I was completely unprepared for the physical, emotional, and practical challenges of those early days and weeks, and instead of feeling joy and wonder, I was overcome by anxiety and exhaustion.

During my second pregnancy in 2014, I followed the advice of our midwife and sought out a Postpartum Doula. The difference was profound.  I found that having a knowledgeable and compassionate woman by my side allowed me to truly enjoy my daughter and to feel confident in my ability to care for and nourish her.

When we relocated to Portland in 2016, I enrolled in the Postpartum Doula Workshop at Birthingway College of Midwifery and knew immediately that I was on the right path.  My personal experience, my sense of purpose, and my most deeply held beliefs have come together into a passion for supporting and encouraging new parents as they adjust to life with their newborn. It is an honor to be a part of this transformative and vulnerable time and I am deeply grateful to all those who have shared their journey with me.

When I am not supporting new families, I can be found baking muffins, reading books aloud, or just enjoying the chaos of life with my husband and our two wild children.
